Tarragona promotes a single window to manage industrial estates, according to its new action plan to promote and improve these spaces.
Councilor for Employment and Economic Development, Francesc Roca, said that “for the first time we have a road map to consolidate these economic poles.”
The plan, drafted by the Cerdà Institute, defends a new model of management of the six industrial estates that the city has with a sort of one-stop shop between businessmen and the local administration.
It also recommends that the companies installed be associated and that the Table that already exists for the promotion and improvement of the polygons be strengthened.
Among the package of measures proposed to improve them, they consist of acting on the accesses and some roads; new storm drains and activate a subsidy line for the renovation of industrial buildings, among others.
It also proposes the drafting of a promotion plan that helps commercialize the industrial land; the creation of a brand and the development of a portfolio of services for the company.
Tarragona has six polygons of economic activity, totaling 470 hectares with some 700 companies installed employing around 6,000 people.
