In 2024, the presence of women in construction has reached its highest point in the last decade, with 160,288 women registered with Social Security, representing 11.4% of the sector’s total workforce. This 3.5% growth not only surpasses the increase in male employment (1.7%) but also exceeds the growth rate of women in the overall economy (3.3%), proving that the role of women in construction is becoming increasingly significant and strong.
At Duinsa, we firmly believe in the importance of promoting equal opportunities, supporting the inclusion of more women across all areas of the sector, from specialized activities to technical and leadership roles. We join the “Take the Leap” initiative by the Construction Labor Foundation this International Women’s Day, reaffirming our commitment to a more inclusive and diverse future for the construction industry.
