Processed concrete in construction

Processed concrete is one of the most used construction materials, it is versatile as it withstands different environmental conditions.

Buildings over 100 meters high require highly resistant mixtures. At present, resistors of 800 and 900 kg/cm2 are used, but there is the need to develop even more resistant mixtures with more benefits, as customers require a more efficient workability to be able to put the mixture in the formworks.

A concrete supplier company must have an ISO 9001 certificate, which implies monitoring of the quality procedures and must have the solution to any inconvenient.

The optimization of concrete mixer productivity is also important, which is achieved by automating the equipment with a wifi communication system between truck and production plant. The system recognizes the truck and the production plant, adapting capacity and loading speed of that specific truck, making it much more efficient.

Another way to gain in productivity is to manufacture a lightweight truck, using a special steel for the drum, more resistant to hits, friction and wear. All of this allows to reduce the thickness of the drum plate and maintains the useful life of concrete trucks. This is how fuel savings are achieved, there is less tires wear and environmental standards ISO 14000 are met by offsetting CO2 emissions.

Finally, to bear in mind that although concrete is of good quality, it is possible there are failures that may arise in case of bad performance. We recommend to pay attention, in order to prevent dry or dirty formworks, to add water in excess, to delay download and place, to compact it or finish it poorly.
